Satchmo Foods, a rising leader in the packaged and ready-to-cook food sector, today announced the inauguration of its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on Magadi Road, Bengaluru. Spanning 15,000 sq. ft., the plant is a cornerstone of the company’s mission to deliver high-quality, "home-style" convenience to Indian households.
High-Volume, Precision Production The new facility leverages intelligent, precision-controlled systems to ensure uniformity and hygiene across its diverse product line. With a focus on staple favorites, the plant’s daily output is currently optimized to produce:
- 5,000 kg of Idli/Dosa Batter
- 24,000+ Chapatis (including Masala and Methi variants)
- 1,000 Holiges and 3,000 Jamuns
- Bulk quantities of savory snacks and vegetable gravies
By utilizing energy-efficient machinery, Satchmo Foods has significantly reduced manual dependency and wastage, ensuring all operations comply with GMP, FSSAI, and ISO standards.
A Blueprint for Scalable Growth The Magadi Road plant is the first of seven planned facilities, as the company looks to expand its footprint in the snacks, sweets, and savories categories. Beyond production, the site was strategically chosen for its robust logistics ecosystem, enabling rapid distribution to retail and institutional partners.
"This plant represents our first milestone in bringing dependable, delicious food to every household," said Ramesh Karur, Executive Director of Satchmo Foods. "It gives us the capacity to innovate and scale responsibly while staying true to our values of quality and community-focused growth."
Community and Supply Chain Impact Satchmo Foods remains committed to regional development, sourcing raw materials from local farmers and MSMEs. The facility has already generated nearly 20 local jobs, contributing to skill-building and economic upliftment within the Bengaluru area.
