In Hyderabad, it must be pulla reddy

really. A chain shop in Hyderabad, the capital of Andhra Pradesh, and Kurnool in the Rayalaseema region, have a fragrance of sweets only. A humble beginning in Kurnool has spread to a big chain of sweet shops in Hyderabad. But the taste of sweets remains as tastier as they began 59 years ago

Hyderabad city with its Navabi culture is famous for its culinary art. Visitors to the city encounters shops selling sweets of various verities not only on main junctions but also at street corners. All sweet vendors do business proportionate to their size of business. But Pulla Reddy sweets does roaring business in spite of several others, too, swinging into similar business and showcasing the similar sweets.

One more sweet vending edifice that sprang up in the city just 15 years ago, though not spreading far and wide, is also famous for its delicacies. It is Sri Rami Reddy Pure Ghee Sweets. It is famous of its 'dry fruit kalakanda' and 'milk mysoorpaka.'

Almond Sweet shops chain and others, too, started the business. But the famous remains famous even today.

What Gunampalli Pulla Reddy started as a tiny business of sweets in Kurnool has now emerged as a massive business and made him a philanthropist. He has founded educational institutions, such as G Pulla Reddy Engineering College in Kurnool, schools for downtrodden and mentally and physically challengd children.

G Pulla Reddy sweet outlets in Hyderabad and Kunrool are famous of delicacies being made with pure ghee. Despite his philanthropic work, he is still known for his sweets throughout the state and also outside the state. Visitors to Hyderabad seldom return to their places of origin without picking up the packets of sweets. Most of the people from AndhraPradesh, the state where I come from, must be familiar with Pulla Reddy sweets. Theirs is probably the most popular sweet house in the entire state. The sweets available there are fresh and amazingly tasty.

"Ingredients for Kova Milk - 1/2 Gallon Sugar - 1.5 cups cardamom - 5. Method Boil the milk till it reduces to more than half in quantity. Add sugar and crushed cardamom. Add more sugar if you want it very sweet. Mix well and let the milk boil till it becomes a thick, light brown mass, which you can form a ball with. It is going to take long time for this happen, about 2-3 hours. So please be patient while this is done." This is how Pulla Reddy used to tell his employees and customers whenever he encountered the faces with impatience writ large on their faces.

Sounds interesting and very delicious! It is fun hearing about what people eat! In addition, the city's main shopping areas are crowded with sweet shops offering a mind-boggling variety of sweet and snacks. These delicacies are available at reasonable prices for every segment of the society.
