Our Bureau, Bangalore
The Karnataka Milk Federation which launched Nandini milk as a Co-operative National Brand for Diary Cooperation has a fast moving sterilised flavoured milk which is a leader in terms of sales and presence in the state. The product is available in 200ml bottles in Bangalore and in pouches of 200ml in the districts.

The flavoured milk is recognised as a nutritious and all-season healthy drink available in five flavours of badam, rose, pineapple, pista and natural orange. The product is priced

at Rs 10 in bottles and the pouches cost Rs 6.

The product is sold right through the season through the Nandini outlets but sales increase during summer months because it is served chill which makes it even more delicious, according to KMF sources. The product was sold in the name of 'Miltone' in the '70s and later the product was improvised in terms of flavours.

Currently the only competition for Nandini flavoured milk is Amul but still the former has a strong hold in Karnataka.
