Now ordinary breakfast can taste royale, or sumptuous and delicious than ever with a wide range of bread spreads available in almost all tastes and flavours. Whether tandoori chicken or tangy pickle, one can have them all in the form of bread spreads at any place and at anytime.

Rather than applying fattening and cholesterol-rich cheese or butter on your bread, you can indulge in healthy and oil-free diet of bread spreads. These spreads will also make bread, which is one of the basic and important components of breakfast, more delectable and relishing.

Multiple uses

The delicious bread spreads can be used in so many ways. These are ideal for toasts, sandwiches and bread. And also used for topping on parathas, pav-bhaji, pulao, khichri, soups and so on and for household baking, preparation of cakes on footlongs, hotdogs and burgers and so on.

Besides, these spreads can also be used as added variety in company of regular cheese or sausage over toast. They can be used to cook an Indian cuisine or you can go international and put into split pita breads, grilled between slices of whole wheat bread, piled on a bagel, wrapped in flavoured tortillas, or eaten on crackers. You can use them as appetiser dips, fill some celery sticks or bell pepper slices with these recipes for a buffet, or use them for grilled sandwich fillings if you want something hot. All you need to do is keep your imagination running and you will never be out of a tasty meal at any point of the day.

Localised taste

While bread spreads can be used in a variety of ways, to give Indians a feel of their own taste, Cremica has come up with tandoori, pickle tickle, mint, korma and sandwich flavoured spreads. Being an Indian brand and understanding the bent one has to their own tastes and cuisines, the company has localised these flavours. Not only do they tantalise the taste buds but give them a ‘feel-at-home’ savour. It is probably for the first time in the Indian market that consumers have got a choice amid wide array of bread spreads, which also come in many ethnic flavours to satiate the taste buds of all age groups. They are obviously fun spreads that are very easy-to-use and serve, come in the ready-to-eat segment, and one just needs to follow the routine of ‘lagao and khao.’

The cost of 300 gm of bottle of bread spread is around Rs 89. For the company, target consumers are working families and kids. The market of bread spread in India is still at a nascent stage and is a novel yet promising market.

Not many players

The industry is still emerging therefore there are not many players in the market, however, players like Britannia and Amul are trying their hand at a similar kind of snack product made from cheese. We are the inventors for this kind of item and have set a benchmark for other players to follow.

Manufactured with the help of soybean oil, Cremica’s bread spreads offer complete protein, carbohydrate and fat, as well as vitamins and minerals, including calcium, folic acid and iron. Soybeans being the only common plant food that contain complete protein, it provides all the essential amino acids in the amounts needed for human health. The amino acid profile of soy protein is nearly equivalent in quality to meat, milk and egg protein. The spreads are an important source of essential fats and vitamins A, D and E for which there are not many other dietary sources.
