SATCON 2026, the world’s first conclave dedicated exclusively to vegetarian certification, concluded successfully recently at Le Méridien, New Delhi, strengthening India’s leadership in ethical and certified vegetarian and vegan food systems. Organised by Sattvik Certifications, the one-day event brought together over 250 stakeholders from FMCG companies, luxury hospitality brands, educational institutions, certification bodies and government policy circles.
The conclave witnessed participation from delegates representing seven countries—Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, UAE, Qatar and South Korea—highlighting the growing global interest in verified vegetarian and vegan food ecosystems. Discussions were structured around three core pillars: consciousness, connect and collaboration, with an emphasis on strengthening certification standards, enhancing consumer trust and promoting ethical food practices.
SATCON 2026 featured insightful panel discussions on awareness-building around Sattvik standards, expanding vegetarian offerings in luxury hospitality, mindful culinary practices, ethical leadership and the need for harmonised global food benchmarks. Networking sessions enabled industry leaders, certification experts and policymakers to exchange ideas, forge collaborations and identify actionable pathways to improve food safety, compliance and transparency.
The conclave was graced by prominent dignitaries including Santosh Gangwar, Governor of Jharkhand, Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), B. L. Verma, Member of Parliament, Bansuri Swaraj, Member of Parliament, New Delh and Vagish Pathak, MLC and Chairman, Sattvik Certifications. Their presence reinforced the importance of coordinated efforts between industry, regulators and certification bodies.
Speaking at the event, Bansuri Swaraj noted that platforms like SATCON help establish meaningful benchmarks for purity, transparency and accountability in food systems. Vagish Pathak, Chairman, Sattvik Certifications, stated that vegetarian certification is rapidly evolving from a niche concept into a global necessity. Abhishek Biswas, Founder, Sattvik Certifications, added that the conclave successfully aligned intent with action to strengthen trust and safety in vegetarian and vegan foods. SATCON 2026 also received strong support from leading food brands and industry leaders, underlining the sector’s commitment to certified, ethical and sustainable food practices. The conclave laid a strong foundation for future initiatives, reinforcing Sattvik Certifications’ philosophy: #SattvikHaiToShuddhHai.
