LSKB Aluminium Foils, along with its backward integration partner Jupiter Aluminium Industries Pvt. Ltd. (JUPALCO)—both part of the Jupiter Group—hosted senior global leaders from the Global Aluminium Foil Roller Initiative (GLAFRI) at their state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Sonipat, on the sidelines of the 8th Global Aluminium Foil Roller Conference (GLAFCO 2026). The engagement also included an exclusive industry dinner, bringing together key stakeholders from across the global aluminium foil ecosystem.
The visiting delegation comprised over 50 senior decision-makers from leading aluminium foil companies worldwide, who were in India to attend GLAFCO, the industry’s most prominent international platform focusing on global market outlook, technology advancements, sustainability imperatives, and future demand across packaging and advanced applications.
During the visit, delegates were given an in-depth tour of LSKB Aluminium Foils’ Sonipat facility, offering insights into its high-capacity aluminium foil production lines catering to packaging, pharmaceutical, and FMCG segments. The visit also highlighted JUPALCO’s highly automated flat-rolled aluminium operations, including one of India’s widest width line casting facilities, featuring continuous casting lines of up to 2.2 metres and an annual aluminium foil stock production capacity of up to 120,000 metric tonnes.
Commenting on the visit, Kunal Bajaj, Director, LSKB Aluminium Foils, said that the presence of GLAFRI members reflects growing global confidence in India’s manufacturing capabilities. He noted that large-scale capacity, advanced technology, and strong backward integration have positioned Indian aluminium foil manufacturers to compete effectively in global markets, supported by consistent policy backing from the Indian Government.
Lakshay Singhal, Director, LSKB Aluminium Foils, added that the interaction underscored the success of integrated manufacturing models under the Make in India vision, enabling resilient supply chains and world-class solutions. He also pointed to emerging opportunities from evolving global trade frameworks, including progress in India–EU trade cooperation, which could further boost exports.
The visit facilitated discussions on industry trends such as the rising role of aluminium foil in packaging, sustainability standards, and the gradual alignment of Indian manufacturing practices with European guidelines. An exclusive dinner hosted by LSKB and JUPALCO provided a platform for informal dialogue on global trends, sourcing strategies, and the future growth of the aluminium foil industry.
Overall, the engagement reinforced India’s growing stature as a reliable, integrated manufacturing hub for the global aluminium foil market.
