Consumer-focused regulatory framework need of the hour, says Indian PM

India’s prime minister, Narendra Modi, called for a consumer-focused approach to the regulatory framework. On completion of ten years of the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, he said, “The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has taken several new intiatives in respect of its regulatory functions.”
