Shanta Kumar panel recommends bringing down NFSA coverage from 67% to 40%

The High-Level Committee headed by Shanta Kumar, MP belonging to BJP, also known as Shanta Kumar Committee for Restructuring of Food Corporation of India (FCI) has recommended to bring down the National Food Security Act (NFSA) coverage from roughly 67 per cent to 40 per cent of the country's population.
