Yes, Hyderabadi Haleem has been granted the GI (Geographical Indication) status along the lines of the Tirupati laddu, Darjeeling tea, Goa feni and Banares silk. Food & Beverage News, a couple of days ago, had reported that Hyderabadi Haleem might be given the GI status.
