Chandramouli appointment challenged; arbitrary practices led to losses
Ashwani Maindola, New Delhi
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) is under fire. A Ghaziabad- based NGO Lok Jagriti has filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in the Delhi High Court on May 29, 2013, challenging the appointment of K Chandramouli as chairperson of the Authority citing the reason that he did not fulfil the eligibility criteria for the post as desired under Section 5 of the FSS Act.
