Karnataka Milk Federation Ltd which is the first-ever World Bank funded integrated project in milk cooperative sector has 13 Milk Unions spread across the state. Its network of 11,962 Dairy Cooperative Societies (DCS) has accounted for an average procurement of 40.61 lakh litres per day. In 2009-10, the Federation clocked a turnover of Rs. 3,791 crore.
