Centre to e-auction under Open Market Sales Scheme to moderate wheat price in open market

Government of India has decided that Food Corporation of India (FCI) to offload a quantity of 25 LMT of wheat in open market under Open Market Sales Scheme 2024 for sale through e-auction to flour mills/manufacturers of wheat products/processors/end users of wheat to moderate the price of wheat in open market.
For checking inflationary trend in food economy, Department of Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, in its OMSS(D) policy for 2024 has fixed Reserve Price of Rs 2325/Qtl for wheat (FAQ) and Rs 2300/ Qtl for wheat (URS) of all crops including RMS 2024-25, upto March 31, 2025, for sale to private parties through e-auction.
