LT Foods Ltd, a leading billion-dollar global FMCG company in the consumer food space, has announced the launch of Daawat Saffron Basmati Rice. This limited-edition offering is designed specifically for culinary connoisseurs and represents a first-of-its-kind innovation in the global basmati category.

The premium offering is infused with the finest saffron, sourced exclusively from Jammu & Kashmir (J&K). The rice itself is cultivated on farms fed by the Chenab River, where farmers utilize time-honored, pesticide-free methods passed down through generations. Every grain is hand-selected with meticulous care to preserve the natural aroma, purity, and authenticity of traditional basmati cultivation.

Daawat Saffron Basmati Rice is positioned as a rare and collectible culinary experience. Each limited-edition pack is curated as a luxury keepsake, containing vacuum-sealed saffron-infused grains, a handcrafted jute storage bag, and a personalized note from the farmer featuring a certified pack number. The experience is further enhanced with curated cooking instructions, transforming the product into a significant culinary indulgence. This is India's most expensive rice launched by Daawat.

Speaking on the launch, Mr. Ritesh Arora, CEO – India Business & Far East, LT Foods Ltd, said, “The introduction of Daawat Saffron Basmati Rice is a strategic step in strengthening our premium portfolio and enhancing value creation across the premium basmati ecosystem. As custodians of a legacy built over seven decades, we continue to invest in innovations that strengthen the premium end of the portfolio. This offering is an embodiment of our long-term vision—where authenticity, product excellence, and exclusivity come together to reinforce Daawat’s leadership and set new category benchmarks worldwide.”
