Maverick & Farmer, artisanal coffee brand, has announced the upcoming ‘Friends of the Farmer’\ session on June 15, at the Ulsoor cafe, where the spotlight will be on farmer Tapaswini Purnesh, who is a 5th generation coffee planter.
Her family estate, the Harley estate is acclaimed for its Speciality coffee and has consistently been among the top winners for the Flavour of India- fine cup award. She will be showcasing the Yeast Maceration coffee from the estate. This unique coffee, celebrated for its distinct flavour profile and innovative fermentation process, promises to be a highlight for coffee enthusiasts and connoisseurs alike. The featured, sustainably grown coffee will be available at Maverick & Farmer cafes and online for up to three months.
Participants will be given the opportunity to immerse themselves in the art brewing under the guidance of seasoned experts and the farmers. The ‘Friends of the Farmer’ brewing sessions, thoughtfully curated by co-founder Sreeram G, provide a platform for local farmers to showcase their exceptional produce.
Using the Cold Brew and Syphon method, attendees will explore nuanced flavour profiles during this coffee-tasting session paired with pass-around snacks over conversations with Tapaswini. The Friends of the Farmer session will provide an exclusive opportunity to taste this one-of-a-kind coffee, learn about the intricate process, and engage with the passionate farmer directly! Attendees will also have the chance to network with fellow coffee lovers and discover the latest trends and innovations in the coffee industry.
