Drix launches first line of prebiotic sodas

Drix announced the launch of its first line of prebiotic sodas, marking a major shift. It is the first drop in a broader movement, a house of functional beverages built around community, culture, and everyday wellness. It is rethinking what better-for-you can look like across categories. From functional sparkling waters to clean energy gels, every product they create is built for people who want more from what they consume.

Indians drink soda far more often than alcohol, yet rarely stop to question it. Loaded with sugar and offering zero benefits, it quietly occupies fridges and store shelves. Meanwhile, urban Indians consume barely 15g of fibre a day, less than half the recommended 31g. This isn’t just a worrying health stat, it’s proof of how far daily diets have drifted from functional, nourishing nutrition.

Rahul S Stephen, co-founder & CEO of Drix, said, “Drix is not just another better-for-you brand. India has one of the largest soda markets in the world, yet consumers get almost nothing from it. Gen Alpha won’t drink the sodas we grew up with, and that’s exactly the shift we’re building for. It’s time our beverages are than just sugar. Drix is our answer to that.”

“We’re not just building a beverage; we’re building a culture-forward brand. At Drix, we believe community is everything. It’s not just about what’s in the can, but how it fits into your lifestyle, your values, and your identity. From design to voice to the rituals we create around it, we want Drix to feel like a movement, one that celebrates wellness, creativity, and connection. That’s the future we’re raising a can to,” said Bikash Parik, co-founder & CMO of Drix.
