Radisson Hotels is a major international hotel company with more than 420 locations in 73 countries.

The first Radisson Hotel was built in Minneapolis, Minnesota, in 1909, and was named after the 17th-century French explorer Pierre-Esprit Radisson.[1]

The hotel was purchased by Curtis Carlson (1914–1999) in 1962. It is still owned by Carlson. Radisson Blu operates 158 hotels, with 42 projects in development.

Nestled in city centre, the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ahmedabad, the first-of-its-kind in the city, opened a couple of months back.

The hotel provides an ideal base for business and leisure travellers to explore the great city. Guests staying at the five-star Ahmedabad hotel enjoy easy access to the nearby business and shopping hub at C G Road, S G Highway and Ashram Road and are within a five-minute drive from Gujarat University Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad. The hotel is situated within a 20-minute drive from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.

Overlooking the busy city centre, the 116 well-appointed rooms at the Radisson Blu Hotel provide some of the most stunning views among hotels in Ahmedabad. The guest rooms include 77 deluxe rooms and 24 business class rooms, as well as eight deluxe suites, six business class suites and one presidential suite, offering an exceptional level of comfort for both business and leisure travellers.

Offering something to please every palate, the Ahmedabad hotel's restaurants include an all-day buffet and à la carte dining. Guests can enjoy healthy, international favourites from the breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets at the all-day restaurant. The Great Kabab Factory presents unlimited feasts from an iconic menu with rare dishes.

All day dining restaurant - Timpani

The name Timpani comes from the musical instrument used in the percussion family, a type of drum traditionally made of copper and wood. Just like the name, our all day dining restaurant Timpani has interiors living up to it.

Timpani at the Radisson Blu Hotel, Ahmedabad, serves a combination of Italian, Indian, Chinese and Thai cuisine to suit every craving. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets, as well as an array of à la carte menus available throughout the day. International buffet breakfast as well as a la carte breakfast shall be offered. Also low carbohydrate diet, rich in nutrients features on our buffet. The private dining room (PDR) at the restaurant can be reserved for intimate gatherings of friends, family or business associates. The PDR can seat up to eight guests. For our business travellers to keep track we have networking table with wired Internet access.

The Great Kabab Factory

Way back in the 14th century, the Mongols invaded Hindu Kush - the land of milk, honey and other rich treasures. In return, they left behind a trail of destruction as well as the Kabab. The Kabab was then, just meat sprinkled with salt, barbequed and gobbled. Soon it caught the fancy of Indian chefs and they perfected it to a sublime art. The kind which you can savour at The Great Kabab Factory – TGKF.

TGKF was born with the creation of the first restaurant at the Radisson Hotel Delhi in 1998. The restaurant's overwhelming success paved the way for franchising the brand, leading to an incredible growth which today finds its presence across five countries, making it one of the largest Indian restaurant chains in its category.

There is no single factor that accounts for the powerful appeal of The Great Kabab Factory, rather, it is a combination of many strategic and operational elements all focussed on the common goal of operational efficiency and total customer satisfaction that makes The Great Kabab Factory so appealing as a restaurant and as a business opportunity.

TGKF is an Indian specialty restaurant offering you a unique dining experience. Using recipes combining the ancient with the contemporary, TGKF brings delectable kababs from all over the Indian sub-continent. At The Great Kabab Factory, you will experience mouth-watering kababs prepared in seven different styles, roasted on the tandoor or on a sighri, shallow-fried on a tawa or a mahi tawa, deep-fried in a kadhai, steamed in pots, even grilled on a stone. A different menu is set for each day and guests are served unlimited servings of each dish, either vegetarian or non-vegetarian.

Besides our signature kababs such as the Galauti and the Burrah, the meal comprises of dal varieties, biryani, a selection of Indian breads and the best of seasonal vegetables and desserts.

Business Class Lounge

Available to all business class guests and those staying in the hotel suites, the Business Class Lounge serves breakfast and complimentary all-day refreshments. A small meeting room also is available for business gatherings in the lounge.
