British Biologicals strengthens its presence with dedicated 'Criticare Division'

In a bid to maximise the market presence in the areas of critical care with its range of nutraceutical products, British Biologicals has recently launched a new division called.

'Criticare Division'. Under this division product like Reno Pro for renal failure, Cardio Pro for cardiac problems and Pro Burn for skin burns are being marketed.

In critical care, patients do need adequate supplements. The health condition creates loss of appetite and this is where a range of protein supplements will help the patient gain strength. However, our existing products B Protein & D-Protein still continue to be major success. Our other products like Kids Pro, Meno Pro, Pro Pl, Medi Slim, Pulmo Plus & Pulmo Care continue to maintain its sales in terms of growth.

British Biologicals continues to be the leader in Nutraceuticals market with a healthy growth. However, we continue our efforts to increase the market shares and also the market penetration.

"We feel being the leaders it is our responsibility to develop the nutraceutical market in India with a range of products that can help the patients, stated VS Reddy, managing director, British Biologicals.

While we have a leadership status in the country, we have already started looking into the emerging international market like Middle East, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Nepal and Cambodia. We have robust plans in future to increase our share in market shares like Russia and Brazil, stated the British Biologicals chief.

The Bangalore-based company which offers nutritional supplement in nutritionally in General Nutrition, Diabetes, Pregnancy-Lactation, Respiratory Disorders and Hepatic dysfunctions has two manufacturing facilities in Bangalore, Karnataka. The first unit was commissioned in the year 1988. The second state-of-the-art manufacturing facility emerged in the year 2001 to meet the increasing demands in both the domestic and international markets. This facility is built conforming to the US FDA norms and WHO GMP standards. The built up area of the facility is about 12,000 sq metres and costing Rs 140 million. It is equipped with specialised production and packaging equipment with high technological edge and highly qualified & trained staff. It has a manufacturing capacity of 0.25 million bottles a day.
