Cocoashala partners with Belgium’s Chocolate World to set up functional demonstration unit

fiogf49gjkf0d Cocoashala, Chennai, a part of Cocoatrait which is an initiative to promote knowledge, production and consumption of fine chocolates in India, has partnered with Chocolate World, a polycarbonate chocolate moulds and automatic tempering manufacturer, from the traditional capital of fine chocolates, Belgium.
According to a press release issued by Cocoashala, it will set up a functional demonstration unit in Chennai using all Belgian equipment from Chocolate World and will be India’s first and one-of-its-kind chocolate school to use all Belgian equipment from Chocolate World.
The company aims to spread the art and science of fine chocolate making to the audience in India. It will serve as a platform for students and enthusiasts who wish to improve their knowledge about cocoa/chocolates at the basic and advanced levels. It has been initiated by Poonam Chordia and L Nitin Chordia, a certified chocolate taster and judge at International Chocolate Awards, London.
Starting August 2016, the company shall provide an opportunity to students and enthusiasts to learn and relive the art of fine chocolate making using the Belgian equipment. It will also be distributing Chocolate World products in India.
The company’s core belief is that learning with the best equipment is a must and this investment is essential to grow and spread the art of fine chocolate making in India. Ran Dergent from Chocolate World, Belgium, believes that India has now started to show a lot of interest in fine chocolate making and Chocolate World, Belgium, has many enthusiasts and participants from the Indian chocolate industry visit him regularly.
The company will now provide an opportunity for these enthusiasts to see and experience these equipments in action in India itself. Cocoashala will be operational in August 2016 and shall offer a host of interesting classes at the basic and advanced levels and be a platform for chocolate lovers to relive the art of chocolate making and enjoy chocolates. The company hopes that this demonstration unit will inspire many people in the Indian industry and they could save a trip to Belgium and experience the latest chocolate equipment and moulds in India itself.
