Godrej Interio (GI), which caters to both homes and offices furniture category, has now set its eyes on the lucrative organised kitchen market valued at Rs 1,100 crore. It has unveiled Cuisine Regale which is a contemporary and premium lifestyle modular kitchen gallery brand.

The brand made its debut in the upmarket neighbourhood of Indiranagar, Bengaluru, and is the first of six such stores that will come up across key metros in the country by next year.

According to the company, the brand has been developed keeping in mind user and human centricity. Differentiating it from any other local or international brand in this space, it is built on anthropometric, ergonomics and consumers’ cooking styles. It  focusses on attention-grabbing consumer touch points in the galleries. There is expert guidance offered by designers too as turnkey and specific to appliances and accessories.

The new store is spread over 2,000 sq.ft, and showcases three ranges of kitchen furnishing: Glacier, Neue and Melange which will cater to the distinct requirements of consumers making cooking more enjoyable.

“The growing upscale urban customer who has travelled worldwide, seeks the same level of premium products that are available in global markets. Cuisine Regale will make available world-class products and services in the kitchen furnishing segment. The main aim is not only to provide premium products but provide an entirely new experience for our customers but also to showcase their passion,” said Anil Mathur, COO, Godrej Interio.

The organised kitchen market size is approximately Rs 1,100 crore of which the premium segment constitutes about Rs 250 crore. The overall South India market for kitchen furnishing is about Rs 75 crore with Bengaluru in the leading position.

The company advocates the policy of sustainability as part of its environment caring initiatives. All its products are manufactured with minimalistic effect on the environment, to reduce carbon footprint. Usage of eco-friendly materials; setting up of less polluting and consuming processes; eco-friendly packaging and transportation; and  recycling used furniture and scrap has allowed GI to commit itself to ‘Talk Green, Walk Green.’

GI is one of the largest divisions of Godrej and Boyce Mfg Co. Ltd, part of the Godrej Group, one of India's largest engineering and customer product groups. It has 78 exclusive showrooms in 20 cities, operating through 800 dealers.
