Perfetti Van Melle India’s Alpenliebe Juzt Jelly has collaborated with Baskin Robbins to launch Juzt Jelly Crème Berry ice cream.

As part of this partnership, Juzt Jelly will be used as an ingredient in the co-branded ice cream. The ice cream will be available across India, in approximately 570 Baskin Robbins parlours during the month of September as the “Flavour of the Month.”

Commenting on the partnership, Mandar Keskar, category head, Perfetti Van Melle India, said, “With this partnership, we are offering our consumers another delightful way of enjoying their favourite Alpenliebe Juzt Jelly. This latest innovation from Perfetti Van Melle India portfolio is unique within the confectionery industry in India.”

He added, “Alpenliebe Juzt Jelly has played a vital role in creating the jellies category in India and is also the market leader with a wide margin. Due to the fruit-based format innovation, jellies have been one of the fastest growing categories in the last few years. Alpenliebe Juzt Jelly is made up of 25% fruit pulp which also allows the product to be used as an ingredient in many recipes.”
Sanjay Coutinho, CEO, Baskin Robbins India and South Asia, stated, “With a bank of over 1,000 flavours, we at Baskin Robbins have always offered something new, with our ‘Flavour of the Month’ special. Jellies are loved by everyone and incorporating them in our ice cream was a new step we wanted to explore. Since this is an untapped market, we look forward for the consumer response to these innovative combinations.”
