Indian sugars, sugar confectionery exports up to $70.79mn in July 2014

InfodriveIndia.com, one of India’s leading export and import market research firms, has announced that India’s sugars and sugar confectionery exports for the month of July 2014 has grown to $70.79 million, which is an increase of 15.6 per cent compared to the previous month.

These findings are based on the company’s Indian sugars and sugar confectionery export data, which are based on export shipping bills filed at Indian customs by exporters from India in July 2014 at over 110 ports across India.

These include Jawaharlal Nehru Port Trust (JNPT), Mumbai air and seaport, Chennai air and seaport, New Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, New Delhi’s Tughlakabad inland container depot (ICD), New Delhi’s Patparganj ICD, Kolkata air and seaport and Bangalore airport.

Pradeep, chief research associate of InfodriveIndia.com, confirmed the development and provided an analysis and break-up of India’s export items like major product categories, major countries and major Indian ports under sugars and sugar confectionery.

The exports of cane or beet sugar and chemically-pure sucrose in solid form has grown on a month-on-month basis by 20.76 per cent

The total value of exports in July 2014 was Rs 57.76 million. Compared to June 2014, there was an increase of Rs 9.93 million the following month. The growth rate in percentage terms was 20.76 per cent; the major destinations were Somalia, Bangladesh, Sudan, Iran and Belgium, and the major Indian ports were Mundra, Tuticorin seaport, JNPT, Kandla and Bombay seaport.

The export of sugar confectionery has grown on a month-on-month basis by 9.63 per cent

The total value of exports in July 2014 was Rs 6.8 million. Compared to June 2014, there was an increase of Rs 0.6 million the following month. The growth rate in percentage terms is 9.63 per cent; the major destinations were the United Arab Emirates, Angola, Nepal, Mozambique and Benin, and the major Indian ports were JNPT, Mundra, Raxaul, Madras seaport and Hyderabad ICD.

The exports of sugars, including chemically-pure lactose, maltose, glucose and fructose in solid form has fallen on a month-on-month basis by 3.43 per cent

The total value of exports in July 2014 was Rs 6.16 million. Compared to June 2014, there was a decrease of Rs 0.22 million the following month. The growth rate in percentage terms was 3.43 per cent; the major destinations were Sudan, Kenya, the United States, Egypt and Tanzania, and the major Indian ports were Mundra, Ahmedabad ICD, JNPT, Mangalore seaport and Hazira.

The export of molasses has fallen on a month-on-month basis by 90.66 per cent

The total value of exports in July 2014 was Rs 0.08 million. Compared to June 2014, there was a decrease of Rs 0.75 millionthe following month. The growth rate in percentage terms is 90.66 per cent; the major destination countries were Oman, Australia, Bangladesh, Germany and the United Arab Emirates, and the major Indian ports were Mundra, Delhi airport, Petrapole Road and JNPT.
