Del Monte launches two new fruit drinks

FieldFresh Foods, a joint venture between Bharti Enterprises and Del Monte Pacific Ltd, has added two new variants to its Indian fruit drinks portfolio.
The company has launched “Green Apple” and “Orange” flavours of the fruit drink in the country.
“Apple and Orange have emerged as the chosen flavours through their “never before” taste and their ability to refresh the consumers thirsting for better alternatives. With one of the highest fruit contents of approximately 30%, which is 2 to 3 times that of competitors in the category, the new Del Monte’s offerings are clearly superior,” the company said.
Recent times have seen the Apple flavor as an emerging favourite amongst the youth, especially in the out-of-home consumption occasions where one needs an easy-to-carry pack.
Currently the company includes five flavours under their fruit drink range - pineapple fruit drink (with real fruit pulp), four seasons fruit drink (a delightful mix of guava, pineapple and mango), pineapple-orange fruit drink, green apple fruit drink and orange fruit drink
“In India we have seen the apple flavour as an emerging favourite amongst the youth, especially in the out-of-home consumption occasions where one needs an easy-to-carry pack. Further, orange is amongst the most popular flavours in India. We at Del Monte discovered that one of the barriers to consumption of packaged orange fruit drinks in India was the taste. Indians prefer a natural sweet taste of orange rather than the sour or bitter taste that consumers in other parts of the world are accustomed to,” the company added.
