RfP for setting up microbiology section & equipment installation

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has issued a request for proposal on turnkey basis for setting up Microbiology Section and Installation of Equipment in a total of 40 laboratories of five regions of North, East, North East, South and West India.
The bidders willing to participate were required to enroll on the e-Procurement module of the Central Public Procurement Portal and the Technical bids and the Price bids will be opened online by FSSAI at the time and date as scheduled for the same, which is February 1, 2022, at 1500 hrs.
The successful bidders need to set up the microbiological section and installation of the equipment in 270 days from the date of issue of supply order.
The Eastern region includes 5 labs each in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Orissa and Chhattisgarh, North Eastern region includes 6 labs covering Assam, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Sikkim, Meghalaya, Manipur, Tripura and Mizoram, Northern region includes one lab each in Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab and 3 in Uttar Pradesh, Western region includes 2 labs in Maharashtra, 5 in Rajasthan, 3 in Gujarat, and one in Madhya Pradesh while the Southern region includes 3 labs in Kerala and Karnataka each, one in Andhra Pradesh and Puducherry, and two in Tamil Nadu.
According to the FSSAI’s bid document, the successful bidders will be required to provide full time three trained personnel specialised in microbiology testing of food (Microbiologist -01 and Assistant Analyst -02) for three years. They will be responsible for the working in the Microbiology laboratory.
The work includes media preparation, sample preparation, method validation, and analysis of samples as per FSSR including operation of instrument and data interpretation.
