Prabhu addresses MSMEs on Govt programmes at ASSOCHAM4India’s Goa meet

Suresh Prabhu, minister of commerce and industry, Government of India, apprised micro-, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) of the various schemes and programmes launched by the Centre, urging them to benefit from them, during the MSME Support and Outreach Campaign, which took place in Goa and organised by ASSOCHAM4India.
The objective of the campaign, which he flagged off, was to strengthen the ecosystem for MSMEs in food processing. Prabhu also interacted with the farmers and exporters, and spoke on the government’s efforts to promote this sector by providing logistical support and air connectivity to reduce transit time in the exports of agricultural products from farm to market.
He added, “The stakeholders and exporters have agreed to come up with more value-added products. #AgriExportPolicy2018 also emphasises the need for exporting value-added products for economic growth.” Prabhu concluded his address by stating that the sector will be the fastest-growing sector.
