LILT, which specialises in Asian cuisines with an Indian twist, was launched by the Maredia brothers, Aaqil and Kamil, and is located in Lower Parel’s Todi Mills. The fine dining restaurant covers an area of 7,500sq ft.

The twists are executed through a fine amalgam of cooking techniques such as mixology, which has been used throughout the menu. The menu is, in fact, a mix of science and art. While the focus of the dishes is on their flavours, it also comprises an array of beverages, including mocktails, cocktails, exotic sangria's, beers and curated wines.

While the starters include Rustic Korean Dolman, Galina Balli, Xun Ji, Cha Ca Hanoi, Thai Tandoor Chilli Cottage Cheese and Kafire Lemon Basil Potato, the main course comprises specialties like Salmon Jalapeno With Ponzu, Malay Lamb Pillaf, Burmese Pot and grilled chicken red curry.

The bar menu comprises signature house-infused cocktails like Magic Puff (a concoction of white rum, butterfly pea tea and mint spray) and the Prinelli (a coffee addiction cocktail with vodka, hazelnut, black coffee and tiramisu mix).

The sangrias include the basilico sangria, summer and maple sangria. Teetotallers can opt for the Desi Girl (a mix of water melon and kafir leaves topped with soda); Lust an amalgamation of green tea, coriander, banana and orange), and Pombay (a blend of pomegranate, basil, sour mix  and ginger ale).

Speaking about the launch, Kamil said, “We are extremely thrilled to launch LILT in Mumbai. It marks our strategic entry into the heart of the city. My brother and I have always wanted to have a restaurant in Mumbai, as we have such fond memories of going to school and growing up in this amazing city. It is an integral part of who we are.”

“My love for all things Asian came about while I was living and working in Boston, where my palettes truly missed relishing on the flavours of India. Having eaten in all the best restaurants in the United States and travelled extensively, the seed for LILT was sown,” he added.

“Through this new address, we are looking forward to creating exceptional experiences for our guests through our menu, that covers all the flavours of Asia with a slight Indian touch,” Kamil said.
