JW Marriott Mumbai’s Saffron hosting Awadhi festival Riwaz till Sept 4

fiogf49gjkf0d Riwaz, the Awadhi festival by Chef Shahnawaz Qureshi, is underway at Saffron, at JW Marriott Mumbai, Juhu. It will conclude on September 4, 2016.
Pavithran Nambiar, the hotel’s general manager, said, “We are extremely delighted that Marriott International has identified Saffron as the Halo restaurant under the tradition category.”
“Qureshi has curated a menu with an elaborate Dawat and a home-style Dastarkhan spread. We hope guests enjoy the JW treatment with Qureshi this month,” he added.
The dishes include Gilawati Krbab, Murg Musallam, Kakori Kebab, Paneer Pasanda, Dal Qureshi, Gosht Ke Kofte, Awadhi Dal, Khoye Aur Mewe Ki Seekh, Aam Ka Galka, Ghee Ke Phulke, Aloo Ka Chokha, Kalonji Baigan and Lagan Ki Boti.
Accompaniments include Gilafi Kulcha, Bakarkhani and Sofyani Roti. The dessert selection includes a Gold Dessert Platter, which has edible gold leaves.
Qureshi said, “Tradition is extremely important to me. It means a great deal. The secret recipes, spices and traditional cooking methods have been handed over to me by my family and I take great pride and confidence in presenting them to my guests at Saffron.”
