JW Marriott Mumbai Juhu has reported the appointment of Deep Vahi as the new director of sales and marketing, effective as of April 2021.
In his new capacity, Vahi will play a pivotal role in strategically leading the business development goals of the iconic flagship hotel to attain greater heights. Vahi comes with a rich experience of over 15 years in the hospitality industry; as a recognition of his extraordinary performance he was declared a winner of Marriott International’s Chairman Circle in 2009 and 2010.
Vahi commenced his journey with Marriott International in 2008 as a sales executive and has moved through the ranks within the organisation covering Sales Center, Proactive Sales and National Sales. Previously, he was the director of sales and marketing at the Courtyard Marriott Mumbai International Airport. During his tenure, Vahi was instrumental in increasing the retail mix with consistent ADR growth which resulted in the hotel becoming the market leader.
In his new role, Vahi will lead the business retention and expansion efforts of the sales and marketing team in order to drive revenue growth and will also play a key role in catalysing the branding and communications efforts of the hotel.
