HyperCity Retail launches Hyper Food Island at flagship store in Malad

HyperCity Retail India Ltd, one of the largest hypermarket chains in the country, unveiled the Hyper Food Island, an exclusive section that hosts an assortment of niche international and national brands across categories, at its flagship store in the Mumbai suburb of Malad.
Aligning with the thought of offering something fresh everyday, the Hyper Food Island aims to provide a range of carefully-handpicked products to suit the needs of the contemporary customers, through HyperCity’s large and modern format store.
Brands like Doyen, Smoor, Tea Culture of the World, Cool Story, Wingreen’s Farm, RRO-International Cheese, Emporio, Muralidhar Shrikhand, Punjab & Sind and Brownie Cottage are a part of the Hyper Food Island.
Through the activity, HyperCity aims to encourage young innovators and women entrepreneurs to grow and focus on the strength of their businesses, while allowing them to reach out to a larger audience.
“It has been our constant endeavour to enhance customer experience in our stores, and we are pleased to introduce the Hyper Food Island, a niche assortment of brands,” said Ramesh Menon, chief executive officer, HyperCity Retail India Ltd.
“The Island has specially been curated to embark on the tantalising culinary journey of our customers,” he added.
“We are strong supporters of entrepreneurship, especially women, as they are our most powerful customers,” Menon said.
“At HyperCity, we have created platforms such as the Hyper Budding Chef and the Hyper Food Island to encourage food entrepreneurs and boost their business skills,” he added.
HyperCity Retail India Ltd is a part of K Raheja Corp. Since its inception, it has opened 19 stores, and has marked its presence in such cities as Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, Delhi, Noida, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Amritsar, Pune, Ahmedabad and Vadodara.
It offers over 55,000 products sourced from both local and global markets. The stores have a footfall of over 20 lakh customers every month.
