The Commissioner of Police, Dr V Ravinder, said, “Safety and well-being of women and children is the top most priority for the police. The state government has been taking several steps to ensure the safety and security of women. The new ‘Bharosa Centre’ managed by all women team will provide a safe approachable space for women and children in distress, is a concrete step in this direction.”

“We urge women, not to be silent sufferers, but to voice their issues at Bharosa Centre and help us help them. We thank Gemini Edibles & Fats India Pvt Ltd for extending their support in helping us set up this centre,” he added.

P Chandrashekhara Reddy, VP, sales and marketing, Freedom Healthy Cooking Oils, said, “At GEF India, we are always looking at ways to encourage women safety and making them self reliant. In the past, we have organised several workshops for women to make them independent. As a part of our CSR initiative, we are happy and proud to support the Police department in setting up a ‘Bharosa Centre – For Women and Children’.”

“The Bharosa Centre is set up as per the guidelines from the Director-General of Police to provide speedy redressal of grievances ensuring prompt justice to women and children in distress. Hope this centre will improve the safety and quality of life of women,” he added.
