Casa Bacardi evolved into an all-new and first of its kind ‘Staycation’ format this Halloween at Colaba’s historic luxury boutique hotel, Abode Bombay. The thematic staycation brought to life year’s biggest spookfest. After two successful on-ground editions in 2019 and a virtual interactive experience earlier this month, this invite-only immersive experience brought together 24 homegrown creators from the spaces of youth culture.

True to its spirit of celebrating Caribbean roots and bringing together consumers to do what moves them, this platform enabled guests to showcase their creativity in different formats. Chaitanya Dixit designed a pair of custom Halloween Sneakers, Young theatre actors Gauri x Alistair conceptualised a Halloween inspired narrative for a horror play while certain guests performed live at the event and many house guests wore one of a kind Halloween costumes.

The evening began with a mixology session of ghostly cocktails by Omkar Kalaskar, brand ambassador of Bacardi India, and moved to a Casa Abode walk-through of hotel rooms. Every room had a set-up of a mini bar for the guests to try their hands at being creative with their cocktails. Apart from this, there were three immersive room set-ups, one had tarot card reader, another had a live horror theatrical performance, and the third one contained a visual art project. It culminated into a Halloween dinner experience at Miss-T and an after-party with DJ Shez and some spooky cocktails like Walking Dead and Blood of Vampire.

Guests only had to worry about the otherworldly attendees, as all other Covid-19 safety measures were taken care of, from sanitisation of all spaces to contactless check-in and digital menus to avoid contact. Temperature checks and sanitisation of bags were done at the entry, and sanitisers and PPE kits were placed in each room.
