CG Corp Global recently appointed Pannkaj Neeraj as chief executive officer, Wai Wai City. He has over 18 years of experience in the quick service restaurant (QSR) and food and beverage (F&B) retail spaces, which gives him an in-depth and 360-degree holistic understanding of the hospitality and restaurant business in India. Neeraj possesses great leadership skills, a passion for excellence and a penchant for developing high-performing teams that deliver expected results within stipulated timelines.

After graduating from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Bhopal, he has played a pivotal role with management positions with prominent brands in the food and beverage industry, such as Pizza Hut, Barista Lavazza, Gloria Jean's Coffees, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts, Fish & Co (a Singapore-based QSR chain) and more.

While working with the Landmark Group, Neeraj led the team, which launched the American doughnut chain, Krispy Kreme, in India. He was also instrumental in the pan-India expansion of the Australian coffee brand, Gloria Jean’s Coffees. His last assignment before taking this new role was with Barista Coffee as chief operating officer. He worked closely with the management team to relaunch Barista in its new avatar.

Confirming his appointment, Neeraj said, “I am excited and delighted to take up the new assignment as chief executive officer, Wai Wai City. Wai Wai is an iconic brand and has a vast fan following in India and many other countries.”

“I promise each and every guest visiting a Wai Wai City restaurant a unique dining experience, which will continue to evolve with every passing day. I am looking forward to a rapid expansion of the Wai Wai City restaurants in the country and key overseas markets,” he added.

“The immediate target is to have 200 outlets operational by the end of 2018 with a presence in countries in the Indian sub-continent, the Middle-East and Europe,” Neeraj said.
