Celeb chef Raichand presents Jersey Thickshakes as healthy snack option

Creamline Dairy, a subsidiary of Godrej Agrovet, is working to increase its acceptance with its thickshake brand Jersey. For this, it roped in television actor-turned-chef Amrita Raichand, of Mummy ka Magic fame to talk about healthy snacking ideas. In this connection, she was in Bengaluru recently.

Jersey Thickshake is made from 100 per cent real milk and comes in children’s favourite flavours, chocolate and strawberry, in addition to a new and exciting flavour, Banoffee (a mix of banana and toffee). It is manufactured in a hygienic environment at Creamline Dairy’s state-of-the-art plant near Hyderabad and contains protein, calcium and Vitamin A.

A study by Godrej Jersey indicated that mothers were constantly worried about the snacks consumed by their children in between meals and they are always on the lookout for healthy options.

It also indicated that mothers were grappling with the lack of excitement amongst children to consume milk. As a result, they are forced to give in to their child’s demand to fulfill hunger pangs, but unable to meet the daily nutritional intake.

Through this workshop, Godrej Jersey aimed to bridge the gap. Raichand also showcased a few recipes using Jersey Thickshakes at Godrej Nature’s Basket.

“Kids today prefer variety and that poses a challenge for mothers to constantly rustle up healthy snacks. One ingredient that mothers cannot go wrong with is milk or dairy products. It offers nutritive value much needed in a child’s diet and allows her to rustle up innumerable choices of snacks to meet the demand,” she added.

The company is confident that Jersey Thickshakes will be the preferred choice for kids, young teens, mothers and young adults, as they offer nutritional value and appealing taste. Attractively priced at Rs 25 for 180ml packs, Jersey Thickshakes will be available in leading retail stores across southern India in all three flavours.

In December 2015, Godrej Agrovet acquired a majority stake in Creamline Dairy. With a processing capacity of over eight lakh litre per day and over 100 collection centres, the dairy has a presence in the southern states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and parts of Maharashtra.

It also operates own dedicated dairy parlours across major cities. It offers a variety of dairy products like milk, Enrich D milk, curd, buttermilk, flavoured milk, paneer, ice cream and ghee. The company said that it was one of the first few private dairy companies to launch milkshakes in India.
