Bajpai appointed mgr at North-East’s 1st Courtyard by Marriott in Siliguri

Rohit Bajpai has been appointed as the hotel manager of Courtyard by Marriott Siliguri, the first Marriott property of the North-East. He has been a general manager with international and domestic brands like Hilton, Radisson and Royal Orchid.

He has over 20 years of functional managerial experience with a strong food and beverage knowledge being the backbone of his career.

Through outgoing leadership, innovative staff management, honest handling in the development of friendly and respectful relationships, Bajpai has displayed commendable performance and racked up an impressive track record.

Being an operations person and having grown through the ranks, his prime credo has always been guest satisfaction of the highest possible degree with effective sales force administration, and using initiative to efficiently solve any problems at hand and achieve goals set by the brand.

This motto has been a constant across the properties Bajpai has been at - ITC Hotels in Mumbai, Bangalore and Hyderabad, Shangri La in New Delhi and Hilton and Radisson hotels in Goa and New Delhi.

An alumnus of IHM Mumbai, he has also been a part of pre-opening and brand conversion of three opening hotels in a variety of roles, viz pre-opening general manager, pre-opening hotel manager and pre-opening restaurant manager.

Over the years, Bajpai has gained invaluable F&B expertise through a variety of luxury brands, including ITC Hotels and Shangri-la, operating renowned outlets like Dum Pukht, Bukhara and Peshawari.

In his current role, he will be overseeing all aspects of operational and strategic management of the 17th Courtyard by Marriott branded property to open in South Asia and the first in the east of India outside of Kolkata.
