Novotel and HICC, Hyderabad, appoints veteran Bandish Mehta as new GM

Novotel Hyderabad Convention Centre and Hyderabad International Convention Centre (HICC) has announced the appointment of Bandish Mehta as the new general manager. He brings with him over 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry.
Mehta has held multiple roles for over 19 years with the AccorHotels Group across Asia-Pacific. In a recently-released press release, the company stated that in his new position, Mehta will be responsible for spearheading operations at the dual property. Through his vast knowledge in diverse areas of both corporate and business leisure he will be in command for accomplishing corporate objectives, developing procedures, service standards, operational policies and overseeing the property in a comprehensive effective manner.
An Australian citizen, he graduated in 1995 from University of Western Sydney-Hawkesbury Sydney, NSW with a bachelor of hospitality management. Before this, he was certified from Institute of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (IHMCT) Pune, in 1990. He later moved to India to be with Novotel Hotels & Resorts, first as director of food & beverage and then promoted as director of rooms at NHCC & HICC. He then ascended into the role of resident manager at Novotel Hyderabad Airport.
He was one of the first future leaders to complete International Hospitality Management Program (IHMP) by AccorHotels for Asia-Pacific.
