Industry veteran Khot appointed executive chef at The Resort, Madh-Marve

The Resort, Madh-Marve has announced the appointment of Vasant Khot as its new executive chef. A veteran of the hospitality industry, he brings over 20 years of culinary experience from around the world, courtesy of assignments at prominent brands like Hyatt, Le Meridien, Holiday Inn, Concord Luxury Hotels Carnival Plc, etc. He will now lead the cooking team at The Resort’s various restaurants.

Khot most recently served at the Concord Luxury Suites and Hotels, Nairobi, Kenya, where he managed multiple units as a group executive chef and oversaw menu creation and food and beverage (F&B) operations for all the units.

By appointing him as executive chef, The Resort has welcomed a chef with a number of awards and achievements to his name, including gold medals. He has participated in the National Culinary Challenge India and Hotelex.

Khot has also written innovative articles in various publications and appeared in television programmes In a career-defining role, he recently completed a stellar assignment for the Government of India’s African Finance Development Bank (AFDB) 2017, which took place in Gandhinagar.

Commenting on the new appointment, Satyajit Kotwal, general manager, The Resort, Madh-Marve, said, “Khot is an extremely passionate and creative chef, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team. His undoubted experience will be a great asset to food and beverage within the hotel.”

“Known for his innovative ideas and focus on fresh and healthy cuisines, an executive chef of his calibre will give a fresh new perspective to what we offer and provide a solid foundation for what is to come,” he added.
