Manpasand Beverages Limited partnered with GEM Enviro Management, one of India’s leading PET recycling companies, to support the government’s initiative of EPR (extended producer responsibility) for plastic waste management. Under this partnership, GEM Enviro will help Manpasand Beverages with the necessary infrastructure to recycle the PET bottles in Maharashtra.

Commenting on this association, Abhishek Singh, director, Manpasand Beverages Limited, said, “Our customer’s health and wellbeing have always been the foremost guiding principles at Manpasand.”

“Manpasand has always embraced every initiative that has enhanced the customer’s and the society’s interest at large,” he added.

“Thus, we completely support and second the government’s vision of sustainable implementation of the plastic waste management and pledge to create a healthier environment by thoroughly embracing and implementing this PET recycling initiative,” Singh said.

He also elaborated that after the successful implementation of the first phase of the said initiative in Maharashtra, Manpasand looks forward to implementing the programme across India, in the coming years.

Singh added that the company was working on other alternative sustainable packaging solutions that created less waste and are completely recyclable, reusable and renewable.

Expressing their happiness on the alliance with Manpasand Beverages Limited, Sachin Sharma, director, GEM Enviro Management Pvt Ltd, said, “GEM Enviro Management will help Manpasand Beverages to fulfill its EPR obligation as per the Plastic Waste Management (PWM) Rules, 2016 and Maharashtra State Government Notifications regarding the same.”

“To achieve this we will set up sufficient infrastructure involving collection centres, RVMs (reverse vending machines), etc. throughout the state of Maharashtra in the next 4-6 months. We will strive to ensure that Manpasand Beverages becomes PET-neutral in Maharashtra within 8-12 months,” he added.
