Wonderchef, one of the leading kitchenware brands in the country, has forayed into the kitchen hygiene category with the launch of Dish Wash Concentrate and Veggie Wash Concentrate under the sub-brand Health-Gear.

With an aim to aid and strengthen the country’s fight against the Covid-19 pandemic, the company is diversifying its portfolio in the hygiene segment. Addressing an industry gap and with hygiene at the core, these newest introductions offer a unique mix of ingredients.

The product is a powerful formula that kills bacteria and deactivates virus. It eliminates stubborn stains, oil and odour from utensils and leaves them smelling fresh. It does not scratch non-stick coating or harm delicate crockery. It is highly concentrated and cost- effective. One only needs 10 ml of the concentrate to make 150 ml of liquid soap by mixing with water.
While hand, body, home and kitchen hygiene is in practice, cleaning of fresh fruits and vegetables is still limited only to rinsing them with water. This is not enough, as water does not eliminate virus or bacteria. To bridge this gap, the company has launched the product. This is a powerful formula made with goodness of neem extracts and removes 99.5% of germs, chemicals, fertilisers, pesticides and wax from fresh fruits and vegetables without leaving any residue, colour or smell. The solution does not contain any harmful preservative, is free from soap, chlorine, detergent, peroxide and alcohol. It can be used to clean all kinds of vegetables and fruits except porous varieties like mushrooms. Simple to use, one is only required to soak the fresh produce for five minutes in a solution made of 10 ml of the product and 500 ml of water. Fresh produce may be used or stored in fridge after this treatment.

Both these products are priced very attractively at Rs 200 for 300 ml of concentrate, and will be available across leading retail stores, e-commerce and the company’s own website. It will also be sold through the company’s DTH network of thousands of women entrepreneurs across India.

Speaking on the launch, Ravi Saxena, MD, Wonderchef, said, “We believe in products which focus on health and convenience for our consumers. With this launch, we hope to fill an important existing gap in the hygiene segment. Soon we will launch consumer durables in this segment as well.” With an increased focus on health and hygiene products, the company has been expanding its presence in the category. The company entered the domestic hygiene segment with the launch of Virol-Oxy (disinfectant) in India. It aims to continue exploring newer avenues in the health and hygiene sector further.”
