Anuga ’19 to begin in Cologne on Oct 5; Feature 10 shows under one roof

Cologne
The German city of Cologne will host the 2019 essay of Anuga between October 5 and 9. It will feature 10 trade shows under roof. These will be dedicated to the following sectors (viz. dairy, frozen food, chilled and fresh food, fine food, organic, bread and bakery, hot beverages, drinks, meat and culinary concepts), and provide exhibitors and attendees an opportunity to expand and diversify the business.

Anuga Dairy
Anuga Dairy is the leading international fair for the dairy industry. While the consumption of pure milk in the European market is declining, the trend is towards alternatives such as soy drinks and lactose-free milk. Further topics are innovations in manufacturing for a longer shelf life of the products as well as smaller package sizes.

Anuga Dairy is centrally located in Hall 10.1, with short paths to the east entrance.

Its 2017 essay witnessed the participation of 418 exhibitors and was attended by over 51,151 visitors.

Anuga Frozen Food
Anuga Frozen Food is the most important platform for trade, the out-of-home market and the frozen food industry. In the frozen industry, the out-of-home market is the fastest-growing segment. Convenience products, as well as small, ready-to-serve consumption quantities are on the rise.

Anuga Frozen Food is centrally located in Hall 4, with short paths to the east, south and west entrances and directly on the boulevard.

Its 2017 essay witnessed the participation of over 563 exhibitors and was attended by over 63,692 visitors.

Anuga Chilled and Fresh Food
Anuga Chilled and Fresh Food sets the trend for nutrition to go, fresh delicatessen and fresh out-of-house products for a quick snack in between. In the cooling rack, the place for cooled freshness is getting bigger: In addition to fresh pasta, which is among the most popular convenience products, there are also fish and fish preparations, ready-made salads, marinated vegetables and freshly cut fruit.

Anuga Chilled and Fresh Food 2017 witnessed the participation of 126 exhibitors and was attended by over 49,666 visitors.

Anuga Fine Food
Anuga Fine Food is dedicated to delicatessen, gourmet and staple foodstuff.

Anuga Fine Food 2017 witnessed the participation of 3,886 exhibitors and was attended by over 97,000 visitors.

Anuga Organic
Anuga Organic offers a wide range of organic products from Germany and overseas with a clear export focus.

A customer-like location-based organic offer, regional products, fair trade and vegan foods remain the trends and drivers of the industry.

In addition to Anuga 2019, there will also be a seminar space on the topic of organic. In the Anuga Organic Forum, high-profile speakers will present current and future-oriented topics related to organic products.

The lectures will be held in 2019 events across all five days of the fair. The Anuga Organic is centrally located in Hall 5.1, with short paths to the entrances east, south and west and directly on the boulevard.

Anuga Organic 2017 witnessed the participation of 250 exhibitors and was attended by over 63,527 visitors.

Anuga Bread and Bakery
Anuga Bread and Bakery enables unique business opportunities, especially from the synergies of the different business segments bread and baked goods. The European trend in the bread and bakery industry is the increasing variety of international specialties on national food markets. The crossing of baked goods is an upcoming trend.

Anuga Bread and Bakery is located in Halls 2.2 and 3.2, with short paths to the entrances

Anuga Bread and Bakery 2017 witnessed the participation of 389 exhibitors from 34 countries and was attended by over 53,791 visitors.

Anuga Hot Beverages
Anuga Hot Beverages offers unique business opportunities, especially from the synergies of the different business areas tea, coffee and cocoa. In the case of hot drinks, and in the often changing out-of-house market, the trend is again towards traditional coffee. With special beans and varied roastings, the variety of products increases for the consumer.

Anuga Hot Beverages is placed in Hall 7, with short paths to the north entrance and directly to the boulevard.

Anuga Hot Beverages 2017 witnessed the participation of 161 exhibitors and was attended by over 38,940 visitors.

Anuga Drinks
Anuga Drinks offers, in addition to innovative trend drinks, a unique business platform for trade, non- domestic market and the beverage industry. The area of soft drinks is, and remains, the growth engine of the industry. Not to be neglected, of course, are the
trend drinks, such as energy drinks, the demand for which increased in 2017.

Anuga Drinks 2017 witnessed the participation of 576 exhibitors and was attended by about 57,586 visitors.

Anuga Meat
Anuga Meat offers all trends and innovations in all aspects of meat, sausages and poultry in each of its own halls. The trends of the industry which are particularly distinguished by innovations are shown in three different halls. The developments are towards more regionality and traceability of the products. The issues of animal welfare and welfare are also in the interests of consumers.

Anuga Meat 2017 witnessed the participation of 907 exhibitors and was attended by over 57,587 visitors.

Anuga Culinary Concepts
Anuga Culinary Concepts is the trade fair for the out-of-house market and combines equipment, technology and cuisine for the region and the export.

The border between the catering industry and trade is blurring more and more, and the home delivery area is more prominent.

At Anuga 2017, over 1,500 trade visitors visited the diverse international cooking shows, which were presented under the headline Culinary Journey around the world.

The world’s largest trade fair dedicated to the food and beverage industry is the most important meeting point for global players in the sector, as the figures of 2017 demonstrated: with 7,405 exhibitors and about 1,65,000 visitors, it was the leading event.

Anuga 2019, which will cover an exhibition space of over 2,80,000sq m, again present everything that is important for the international trade audience. In addition to the 10 trade shows, there will be 11 trend themes, an informative event and congress programme and the largest participation of exhibitors.
