World-leading gum acacia maker Nexira’s new spray-drying tower located in Marudur, Tamil Nadu, is now fully operational to serve all its customers in India. The tower was built in partnership with Synthite, the world’s largest producer of spice oleoresins, which offers a wide array of natural ingredients for the food, health and fragrance industries.
The company opened its office in Mumbai in 2012 to serve the requirements of both global and local customers in one of the fastest-growing markets in the world. With India as the world’s largest consumer of gum acacia, Indian food and grocery industry ranks as the sixth largest in the world. Foreign investors, multinationals and local companies are seeing this potential, and are investing in the Indian food processing sector.
Today with this new state-of-the-art production facility, it can supply large quantities of spray-dried gum acacia dedicated to the growing Indian market.
The company controls the entire supply chain and can confidently guarantee that every product is of the highest quality standards. This confidence is built on over a century of experience in sourcing raw materials and long-term partnerships, assuring a reliable supply chain and complete traceability.
Its quality assurance policy controls all the steps in its own laboratories, from production to delivery of the product to our customers. The Indian production unit is certified FSSC 22000, ISO 9001, BRC, Kosher, Halal and Sedex.
The company’s reinforced teams, based in Mumbai and Marudur, provides a strong technical assistance and sales support to Indian customers. Its new production and warehouse facilities will enable it to answer specific market and customer’s needs across India.
Thanks to the company’s long experience and leadership in gum acacia, its technical team has a thorough understanding of food, nutrition and health applications. Indian customers will be supported to develop new formulations using gum acacia for its unrivalled technological properties and for claiming nutritional or health benefits.
