Pita Pit, the Canadian quick service restaurant chain (QSR) with 567 outlets across 10 countries (including 20 in India [located across the Delhi-NCR region, Bengaluru and Hyderabad]), is eyeing the Western India market wih the launch of an outlet in Phoenix Marketcity Kurla, Mumbai.
MuVi Concept Restaurants has taken the master franchisee for South and West India, and has ambitious plans of expanding the count to at least 20 stores in the region by December 2020 and 50 by 2022.
The menu offers customised, healthy and nutritious pita wraps, salads and brown rice salads. It provides a healthy alternative to high-carb, high-fat fast food. The fillings are not fried, but grilled in front of the customers’ eyes.
Moreover, the meals are fully customisable, enabling the patrons to choose three different spreads, three different kinds of cheese, 14 vegetables and 12 sauces.
The choice of 24 different fillings includes a lot of flavours like Kathi Chicken and Hara Bhara Kebab, which have been customized to suit the Indian palate. There is an equal spread of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options.
The soups and pita chips are a welcome addition and the beverages include freshly-prepared cold coffee and lemonade, in addition to a host of other cold-pressed juices and iced teas. The Nutella-Banana dessert pita is a must-try. A separate kids’ combo makes it a family place to eat.
“We currently have two outlets in Bangalore (both in IT parks) and two in Hyderabad. Both the cities have accepted the product well, as there was a gap in the market due to the lack of healthy fast food. We are looking forward to the response to Mumbai,” said Rashi Agarwal, managing director, MuVi Concept Restaurants.
