Firstmr Business Analytics, an associate of Giract, will organise GiTEx 2017 - the sixth edition of the event - at Ramada, Ahmedabad, on March 22 and The Park, Bengaluru, on March 24.

The event will provide participants with an opportunity to learn more about the Indian snack industry with focus on noodles, pasta, extruded snacks and soup premixes, and network with representatives of companies.

The product demonstration and technical seminar at the event, which also includes the Giract table-top exhibition, will focus on cheese powders.

The technical sessions will have experts from Lactosan, which is based in Denmark, and DKSH, a Market Expansion Services Group company headquartered in Zurich, Switzerland.

F1rst is a business research and consultancy organisation with a strong focus on the food ingredients market across the world.

“As a part of its innovative services for the food and beverage industry, GiTEx table top exhibitions are designed to provide the most convenient and cost- effective interaction with the ingredient suppliers,” the organisers said.

“Companies such as ITC Foods, MTR, Indo Foods and Symega Savoury Technology have already registered to attend the seminar in Bengaluru,” said Dhanupriya Souresh Coumar, manager (academic outreach) and senior research analyst, Giract.

“We are also expecting registrations from Maiyas, Bikanervala, Haldirams, Balaji Wafers, Parle, Agrotech Foods and a few key regional players,” she added.

DKSH has 150 years of business presence in Asia. It helps companies to grow their business in new or existing markets. Its fields of expertise include consumer goods, healthcare, performance materials and technology.

Lactosan, known for its cheese powder, operates two modern manufacturing and research and development (R&D) facilities in Denmark and Uruguay.

Its portfolio of cheese powder technologies offers food and flavour manufacturers a variety of functional and natural flavour solutions for applications such as savoury snacks, biscuits, bakery goods, sauces, dips and dressing, ready meals, creams and desserts, processed cheese, confectionery, flavours and seasonings.

Its range of products includes pure cheese powders and natural culinary boosters which are free of amino acids, free fatty acids and milk fat. In addition, it has cheese base powders which are blends of natural cheese and other dairy ingredients, along with pure cheese blends, which are natural cheese and maltodextrin.

According to the organisers, the visiting trade shows do not guarantee meetings with ingredient suppliers, and the overall setting is not optimal for in-depth discussions. Instead, GiTEx provides an opportunity to reach major food ingredient suppliers under one roof at an affordable cost. The expo enables suppliers to customise their information and product samples to the specific needs of processors. GiTEx encourages the participation of new and medium-sized processors who would otherwise not be able to contact ingredient suppliers easily.
