Vadilal Ice Creams has recently launched a website exclusively for online ice cream ordering, www.vadilalonline.com.

From their huge product range, they have listed some of their hot favourites from different categories for now.

This favourites menu is now live on the website, customers can browse through the options in candies, cones, ice cream cakes, kulfi, novelties, and party packs among others to place their orders.

The company has expanded its supply chain network and on-boarded delivery partners pan- India.

With the launch of the website, it is now all set to deliver ice creams to 400 plus locations from 20 states across the country.

Contrary to the design-focussed brand website, it has chosen a minimalistic approach for its online store.

This is done to ensure that the ordering process is as easy as possible for all kinds of users and there is nothing other than to distract you, a complete no-nonsense approach.

Vishal Surti, president of sales and marketing, Vadilal Ice Creams, explains how the entire idea shaped up, “As soon as it became clear that the lockdown is not going to be lifted anytime soon, Vadilal began to plan for a secure online ordering portal. We wanted to add a bit of sweetness to the otherwise tough lives of our customers amid this pandemic.”

“So the company formulated policies for safe delivery of ice creams and quickly set up a delivery network. Finally, the website was launched and I hope our home-delivered ice creams are making the customers’ days a bit more bearable now. We are currently accepting only cash on delivery but the process of integrating a digital payment gateway has already begun,” he added.

The website has been designed and developed by an Ahmedabad-based agency Eight Petals Creative Solutions.

Tejas Nair, creative director at Eight Petals, shared how his team went about the development process, "Vadilal wanted to launch the website as soon as possible so there was hardly a week's time available for building the website from scratch. We had already worked on revamping the Vadilal Ice Creams website in the past so it was easier for us to understand the brand image and tone this website needed.”

“With cordial, minimalistic design, playful typography, and seamless navigation as our main focus, we ensured the website's quirky, whimsical look hits the right chords with the audience. After receiving the project brief, we managed to make the website live within 6 days," he added.

The delivery of ice creams ordered through vadilalonline.com in all the locations is compliant with the safety guidelines issued by the WHO.
