Licious, India’s leading fresh meat and seafood brand, has now set up the country’s first meat and seafood experience centre at Gurgaon’s Galleria Market. Plans are afoot to establish 7-8 more such centres over the next year.

The innovative and multi-dimensional facility is designed to recreate the Licious experience on-ground. It is equipped to take the customers through the entire farm-to-fork journey of meat and seafood. The centre deploys technological proficiency and utilises the best of professional expertise to change the way Indians experience meat and meat products.

Over the last four years, Licious has created a seamless and convenient meat-buying experience for over 6,00,000 customers across six markets through online and app-based purchase. Now the experience centre brings this online entity to life and makes a shift from transactional exchanges to experiential and interactive ones.

The company said that it is nothing like a traditional meat or seafood store. It is  compliant with the global food safety and hygiene norms to change the typical Indian experience of meat and seafood buying.

It houses Licious’ meat consultants, who are equipped to take customers through the entire life cycle of the meat, elaborate on the company's sustainable sourcing processes and answer all queries on traceability and quality of the products.

The centre is also completely knife-free and has only pre-packed products brought directly from the production plant to ensure no compromise on quality and hygiene. The Endless Aisle facility, also makes the centre the perfect confluence of the company’s online and offline entities. Not only can the customers pick up Licious’ signature products from the centre, but they can also place an order, which will be delivered to their doorsteps.

“Ask any Indian about their meat buying experience and they will tell you about the crowded markets, dingy lanes and the frantic search for quality products. We are determined to change that,” said Abhay Hanjura and Vivek Gupta, co-founders, Licious.

“Building a transformational and category leading food brand in an extremely complex marketplace requires conviction and inventive thinking. We operate in a highly fragmented and unorganised industry that is valued at a massive scale of $40 billion, which makes the job even more challenging,” they added.

“However, that hasn’t stopped us from dedicating ourselves towards solving the prevailing customer pain points of quality, hygiene, freshness and convenience when it comes to purchasing meat and seafood in a sustainable manner. Our experience centre is one more step towards that direction. We plan on opening 7-8 more such centres over the next year,” Hanjura and Gupta stated.
