Kalyan F&B Private Limited, which offers be pure coconut water and coconut chips, is rapidly expanding. The company is aiming to foray into all parts of the country soon, and after amazon.in and Big Basket, they intend to expand business in the online marketplaces too.

Ashish Verma, the company’s founding director, said, “We have aggressive expansion plans in India and our current target is to spread our footprints across all Tier-I cities through offline retail stores, since we are already available to costumers pan-India through online platforms.”

“Our products, coconut chips and flavoured coconut water, are being liked by the Indian consumer. Hence, we have already started our journey in cities like Jaipur and Chandigarh after Delhi-NCR. We are planning to mark our presence in the Northern region of India phase-wise. However, our next targeted city is Mumbai,” he added.

Verma said, “Be products cater to a niche audience. We are already reaching our consumers pan-India through online platforms. Our products are also available in the offline retail stores like LeMarche, Modern Bazaar, Foodhall, etc. in the Northern region of India currently. Currently, be products are primarily available in North India like Delhi-NCR, Chandigarh, etc.”

Talking about investments, he added, “The Indian food retailing sector is constantly growing at a fast pace. We are at a very nascent stage to pre-determine the investment in terms of numbers. However, we aim to expand our business rapidly across the country by focussing more in the online as well as offline marketplaces.”

Sharing the company’s plans to add new products, Verma said, “As of now, our focus is to focus on providing quality products to our consumers. We will only add new products in our portfolio when we feel that those products would fit within the parameters of Indian taste and pricing.”

Commenting on the flavoured coconut water and coconut chips market in India, he added, “Coconut products have recently started gaining popularity in the Indian FMCG industry. No exact figures can be quoted at this nascent stage, but our products are receiving an overwhelming response from the Indian consumers. With the health and fitness industry growing at a rapid pace, the consumer is getting conscious about their food habits and opting for healthier options.”

Speaking further about products, Verma said, “Be coconut offers different flavours and variants of coconut water. We provide a blend of coconut water with other fruit juices to cater to different taste buds. Be Coconut water comes from the coconut plantations in the southern region of Thailand, which is considered to be the best quality coconut in the world. Our primary focus is to ensure the quality production of our pure coconut water, since we do not want it to get converted into a fruit juice.”
