Aspri Spirits, a leading importer and distributor of the finest wine and spirits brands, launched Banrock Station, a premium wine from Accolade Wines, in two variants - Shiraz and Chardonnay - at Flavour Diaries, Khar West, recently.
Jackie Matai and Arun Kumar, co-founders, Aspri Spirits, hosted a delightful wine evening that commenced with a masterclass by Ann-Marie Battista, regional director, Indian sub-continent, and Paul Hillier, marketing director, Accolade Wines.
Battista shared interesting facts about the brand. The two variants were accompanied by appetisers from Flavour Diaries by chef Anjali Pathak.
Banrock Station is renowned for its full-flavoured, fruit-driven wines made with some of the world’s greatest grape varieties.
Banrock Station Shiraz Banrock Station Shiraz exhibits intense blackberry fruit over coffee and oak aromas with a hint of clove and cinnamon.
This wine is a full-bodied Shiraz that displays plum and blackberry flavours with clove and aniseed supported by a rounded tannin structure.
It is deep crimson in colour with purple hues, and can be relished with mushroom pasta.
Banrock Station Chardonnay The Banrock Station Chardonnay exhibits intense fruit aromas of citrus and peach with hints of tropical fruit and delicate oak overtones.
The palate displays fresh and juicy fruit salad flavours of peach, melon and honeydew, with a light oak influence.
The mouth feel is soft and creamy with a full-bodied texture, balanced acid and excellent length.
In straw colour, it can be enjoyed with full-flavoured seafood and chicken dishes.
