Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort and Spa commences plum cake preparations

Sheraton Grand Chennai Resort and Spa has commenced the preparations for plum cake, a Christmas tradition, with its inaugural cake mixing ceremony.
“Cake mixing is the most awaited tradition of the season,” said Mukesh Sharma, the hotel’s executive chef.
“The aroma of nuts, raisins, apple, apricots, dried ginger and rum envelope the atmosphere, making it feel like Christmas has arrived early this year,” he added.
The conventional Christmas cake mixing event is held in advance to allow the nuts, dry fruits and assorted spirits to infuse perfectly.
Several well-known personalities were present to usher in good tidings with the guidance of in-house chefs at the property.
