Only 1/3rd of household plastic recyclable, finds analysis by UK’s LGA
London
Analysis by Local Government Association (LGA), a body in the United Kingdom, has suggested that only a third of the plastic used by households is able to be recycled. It found that 5,25,000 tonne of plastic pots, tubs and trays were used by households each year, but just 169,145 tonne of this waste was able to be recycled.
